Anyone in Alberta interested in an EN World Game Day?

That'd be cool. Calgary would be the center of choice for me (I doubt y'all would want to come down to Medicine Hat for little ol' me :p )

As a former Calgary resident, allow me to point out that Calgary is the city of the Sentry Box - Canada's #1 gaming store, period.

Speaking of a Vancouver Gaming Day.... that might be fun :D.

Just because I've gotta pander to the intraprovincial rivalry abit - Sentry Box? Never heard of it. Now, up in Edmonton, we've got a huge number of gaming stores, most notedly Warp 1 (and 2... and 3. Maybe 4's in the works sometime in the future), not to mention Whyte Knight... Errr.... anyways, end of pointless, shameless plug/playing with the 'battle of Alberta' in a slightly diffrent fashion....

Oh, all right. I'm a diehard Habs fan anyway.

There used to be a bunch of Pirates of the Plains members on these boards (Calgary RPGA chapter), wonder if they still are? They'd be able to put on a pretty good meet, I'd imagine.

I think you might have problems finding a location in Red Deer to play, it's nice and central between Edmonton and Calgary, but I can't think of any gaming stores or the like that would be able to host such an event. If you want the pirates of the plains to help you out I can give you their Yahoo group address, or several of the members e-mails. They run primarily the living campaigns (Greyhawk, Force, Spycraft, Arcanus, etc.), but I'm sure they might be willing to help set something up. They are primarily based in Calgary, but I think at the moment their still searching for a location for their monthly gameday.

Good Luck!

Delgar

P.S. Wishing he could attend an Alberta ENworld gameday, but has to settle with the warm weather of Southern California!

Yeah, I heard about their meeting place problem. They may have found a spot recently, though, I think. Of course, if none of them a really ENWorld members anymore, then it wouldn't really be an ENWorld meet, would it?

Hmm, sounds like we're going to have to decide between Calgary or Edmonton for a Game Day. Of course, it will depend on travel factors. I know, for me personally, there isn't any way for me to get to Calgary unless someone from Edmonton offer a carpool.

In other words, I don't drive.

If it was in Calgary, I could bring a few other ENWorlders I know with me. Edmonton is a 6-hour drive, thus my vote for Calgary. :)
