Anyone know the name of this monster?

Is there a monster/species/race/etc in the D&D universe similar to the of Bleu from Breath of Fire I and II for the SNES? Meaning, something which is human until the torso, and then a snake from the torso down? If so, what's it called? thanks so much.

Naga an Yaun-Ti are similiar, both are in the MM.

neither of those are particularly like that.. one is only a human-ish head w/ a snake, and the other is all snake-like w/ arms... im saying somethign that's completely human till the torso, then a snake... any suggestions?

You could just slightly alter the description of Yaunti,. Though there appearance varies. If i'm mistaken please correct me. Bu the two pictures in the monster manual are the two extreme ends of there apperance I think.

check out the Naga's in the Monsters of Faerun. I believe that they are more like what you are after. there is even a good picture.

The old Noble Lamia (not converted, AFAIK), or the Greater Medusa which is in Tome of Horrors.

Naga is the right word for what's you're looking for, it's just that D&D doesn't have that kind of naga. The kind you're looking for are Indian-inspired, but there are stats for Naga in the Rokugan campaign setting, I believe.

Yes, there are more humanlike naga in Rokugan *and* Oriental Adventures (2 versions of the same guys).

And BFG (-5000), no, I don't think it's Geryon.
