Anyone played a Constructor?

I would be interested in feedback from someone who has played a constructor.

I will play a PsionShaper6/Constructor8.

It looks like these guys can unleash a serious can of whoopass!

Can you use the constructs to make up for the serious lack of other powers?? Sculpt one to use as as cover as well as a bodyguard? Sculpt one with a seat to sit in while you fly arround?

After selecting a few "preservation powers" e.g ectoplasmic armor, invisibility etc and the compulsary "cocoon" what else do you recomend. I am thinking mostly protection and manoverability powers.

Check the WotC boards. Lots of people have played it. In fact, they even have pre-made constructs (maybe only on the old boards).

Yes.

Two things going for them:

One: they're a bit weaker than summons, if you weren't a constructor :D Your power point efficiency lets you create many of your highst-level constructs. (A sorcerer can only summon their best creature maybe 6 times per day - of course, he has tons and tons of spell slots for other things.)

Two: Metapsionics. There are possible abuses there, however.

Um... they're fragile if you're facing a psionic opponent. They make good cover, due to their size.

Fly, Nondetection, Invisibility, Inertial Barrier, Greater Energy Barrier, and the best Vigor power you can get.
