Anyone Read Flashman?

The Flashman books are excellent.

I would argue that he has a third virtue - he's a talented cricketer, although he only likes the game because it gives him a chance to be a bully and a cheat.

I learnt an awful lot of history from reading those books.

However, if you are not getting into them from the start, possibly they are not for you. There isn't normally much of a twist or change of pace later on.

... which, incidentally, are the best Three Musketeers movies ever made, and they may as well stop trying to make new ones, because never again will such a splendid cast come together for that type of movie. I mean, how can you not like a movie that stars Michael York, Oliver Reed, Richard Chamberlain, Raquel Welch (*drool*!), Christopher Lee, and Charlton Heston? So anyway. Better go back to reading Flashman books now.
