Well, that was fun

I saw a banner ad here yesterday which I clicked through and liked the product - but can't remember what it was called and can't get the banner to appear again!

It was sets of square 4E status tokens, with little token trays to put them in, and little round bases you could fit under a medium-sized D&D Miniature. There were a couple of other assorted accessories, too.

Anyone notice or remember the ad? I'd like to find the site again.

Wow... That's fantastic. The bases alone are awesome, and those trays...

How have I not heard of this company before? Thanks, Morrus!

I think I'm going to order some. I can't decide whether to do with a bunch of the red bases as bloodied markers, or a mix of colours and use them to distinguish monsters.

I put in a large order with Dapper Devil a couple days ago. Ordered Sunday night, it shipped Monday, and arrived today (Thursday).

I ordered bases, multiple sets of counters (bloodied, class abilities, 'special effects', conditions), a full set of 6 stands, and some other various things, including a poster map.

Everything was exactly what was pictured, and I'm happy with that.

I do have one major gripe, though. The packaging was very poor. The stuff was placed in a very large box (I'm willing to bet the oversized box was to accomodate the map, which was placed in a priority mail-style cardboard envelope inside the box). The trays were wrapped loosely and haphazardly in 1-2 layers of paper towel, and the counters were all placed in little baggies by set. The only packing material was a sheet of those very large cells of air, which took up only a relatively small fraction of the empty space.

In short, everything was free to bounce around, and two of the stands were damaged during shipment.

I've just sent an email to Dapper Devil about this... If their customer service is good, I'm willing to overlook the poor shipping.

I may order some of the miniature bases from Dapper Devil. Can anyone tell me what you think about these bases? Do they stick tight around the base or does the mini just sit on it (if I pick the mini up, does the base stay on the table or does it stay around the mini)?
