[a little OT] Anyone seen Marvel/Gaiman's 1602?

I picked up all of the issues of 1602 that were availavble at my FL Comic Shop (up to #3 so far). All I can say is...man, soooooooooo coooooooooool. :p

Gaiman has successfully re-interpreted many of the iconic Marvel characters for a late-Renaissance setting. I highly recommend this series if you can get it!

Gave me D&D ideas galore!

Anyone else buy it? Comments, etc? Please discuss!

YES! YES! YES!

Gaiman has done it yet again!

This has got to be the best thing @ Marvel at the moment! I love how he subtly blends the characters into the setting, yet keeps them true to their (original) origins and makes them all new again as well.

I think, however, my favorite part(s) are the times when Peter is playing with a spider, and you are on the edge of your seat yelling "Bite Him! Bite Him!" (okay, so I'm a little excitable, goes from being a marvel zombie since the 70's)

Anyway, this title is #1 on my mist-read list every month.

OMFG...........WORD.

Especially in #3, when Parquagh (sp?) is in with the Dr. and the black widow shimmies down the web to right near his hand. I was thinking, hmmm a magically transformed Spider-Man.

I am also EXTREMELY intrigued by all this mention of The FF... hehe

Me too....although let's be careful with spoilers, as there are some "touchy" individuals reading these boards....! (I've had my ass chewed off a few times.)

I wish I had been able to see it. The past three times I've been to my FLCSs, it has been sold out. :(

Are they not willing to hold things for you, or is there another reason you didn't do that?
