Anyone seen these 7th level spells in action?

I would think reverse gravity would give a flyer a little problem. Atleast, if you're in doors. :) It's especially good with Transmute Rock to Mud, Reverse gravity, Transmute Mud to Rock. 'Look ma, New ceiling fixtures!'

Hong is not carrot top. I would call him a late Norm McDonald. :)

Norm McDonald was on Saturday Night Live, before playing in a short lived sitcom called Norm. He's been in several movies, the names which are lost to me.

and Polymorph Other, while useful, is not a necessity. If it truly was needed, a Wand would be fine.

Did I read this right? Lots of wizards can make a Fort save DC 16, the secret is a Cloak of Resistance and Endurance spell. And you can't apply Spell Focus or even Heighten Spell to it (it's already 4th-level). You should never make a wand of a see-or-die spell.

True, but a party with 4th level spells has other ways to kill people. PO's main use (to me) is as a buff spell. As I said, PO is not a necessity. It is useful at times, but if all you want to do is kill people, there are tons of ways for a sorcerer to do that and still be able to save his Polymorph slot for 8th level's Polymorph any Object (which is one of the few save or die spells that can actually affect undead and constructs, while still be highly useful as a buffing spell.

Actually, to me the main use of PO is versatility!

It's weapon, offensive buff, defensive buff, transportation, disguise, etc all in one spell!

What does that ninth level spell Arcana From Gate do?

(taking pity on the guy who missed the joke)

It's actually two spells: arcana form and gate. Hong was making a funny.

If memory serves me right, arcana form is from one of the Books of Eldritch Might, and it turns you into a mass of living magic - you can fly, you're incorporeal, you can cast spells with your hit points.

Gate is, of course, in the Players Handbook.
