Anyone use Brookhurst Hobbies?

These guys have miniatures I can't get anywhere else. Did anyone ever use them? Do they offer fast turnaround?

I used them several times before I knew of Games-Plus, my somewhat LGS. Brookstone offered excellent service, good communication and timely delivery. They have a phone number and answer your calls, so if you have questions or concerns, you get answers.

I used to use them ... but that was back in the 1970s They sold me my first D&D set, as well as a couple hundred miniatures prior to that when I was still doing mini gaming.

I'm just glad to hear they are still around!

I have used them several times via email and phone to obtain figs. Turn around has always been quick, and they respond well to inquiries.

Some of their more obscure miniature lines though may not be fully stocked, usually due to manufacturer issues. If you're using a check or money order it's best to check for availability first.

They are used a lot for Confrontation players. They offer the full Rackham line, and free shipping. They are very fast as well.

Hey! That's my FLGS (I live about two miles away)!

Haven't used them for long-distance shipping, but they're nice people, pretty knowledgeable, and one of the largest and longest-tenured FLGS's in the area. Most of their store is devoted to miniature-building (RPG stuff, while near the front of the store, and with a pretty decent selection, seems to be a secondary interest to models and miniatures)

I live about an hour away from Brookhurst Hobbies, but still try and stop in there about once or twice a year. I think they're overall probably my favorite game-store in SoCal -- their rpg selection isn't all that great (basically one very tightly packed aisle), but their minis selection is truly second to none and the staff is both friendly and knowledgeable (which is pretty rare). Never used them for mail-order so I can't comment there.

I ordered some small bireme and trireme minis from them and got them quickly. Great customer service.
