September 12, 2024—SEATTLE, WA: Green Ronin Publishing announced today that it will be releasing official miniatures for the Expanse RPG, based on the novel series by James S.A. Corey. The miniatures are part of the crowdfunding campaign for the Expanse RPG: Transport Union Edition, which launches September 17 on BackerKit. Green Ronin has partnered with Wargames Atlantic—an experienced manufacturer of sci-fi, fantasy, and historical miniatures—to sculpt and produce the miniatures.
“I’ve been gaming with miniatures for over 40 years, so I’m delighted to be working with Wargames Atlantic to make the first miniatures for the Expanse,” said Green Ronin President Chris Pramas. “This is a move I’ve wanted Green Ronin to make for many years and we couldn’t have picked a better partner.”
The crowdfunder will offer two boxed sets of hard plastic miniatures, Spaceship Crew and Ships of the Expanse. The crew miniatures are 28mm and the box comes with many parts so you can customize the characters as you like. The spaceship miniatures are 1/1000 scale, and this set concentrates on ships most useful for RPG campaigns. Ships like the Rocinante! The miniatures can also be used in a wide variety of wargames.
“The Expanse is an incredibly rich universe for miniature makers to explore,” said Hudson Adams, the CEO of Wargames Atlantic. “We’re incredibly excited to work with the excellent team at Green Ronin to bring these sets to life in hard plastic!”
“If the campaign goes well, we can expand the range,” adds Pramas. “Marines, Belters, and more ships are high on the of list potential sets.”
The Expanse RPG: Transport Union Edition is the core rulebook for Green Ronin’s popular roleplaying game. In addition to the game and miniatures, the campaign includes three new RPG supplements, dice, condition cards, and more. You can sign up to be notified of the launch on BackerKit.
