Arcane Casting Prestige Classes HELP!

First Post
Ok, I recently started playing a character for a new game that I am in. I started with a variant Domain Wizard and then multiclassed into a Generic Caster class. I took these classes because they were both Arcane casting classes but the Generic Caster gave me access to the Wiz/Sorc, Cleric, & Druid spell lists to pull from. I then took my character into the prestige class of Ultimate Magus. Everything so far is awesome but in doing the amount of customization on this character I failed to look too far ahead. My character will advance with the Ultimate Magus getting spell caster levels for both base classes simultaneously (which is AWESOME!!!!), however.......... apparently this is the ONLY prestige class that I can find that advances two arcane casting classes....... all the other ones that I found advance more than one casting class at a time but they are all either divine/arcane or they are warlock/arcane advancement.....

Does anyone know of another Prestige class that advances TWO arcane caster classes simultaneously other than the Ultimate Magus?!

As far as I am aware, Ultimate Magus is the only one in existence. Pick one of your two base caster classes to advance after UM is finished - should still be plenty powerful!

I think Ultimate Magus is the only one that allows that. However, may I suggest (if you have access to 7th level spells) the Archmage class from the Forgotten Realms. One of my fave arcane prestige classes, giving you a lot of bang for your buck, sure you give up some spell levels, but the benefits greatly outweigh the downsides.

My favorite-ish prC for these situations is champion of legacy (from weapons of legacy). Under the SPECIAL header it says "+1 existing class". Not spellcasting +1, but class features +1.

So, you've maxed out all five levels of archmage, say? 2 levels of CoL will get you up to archmage 6th (first and like, seventh level don't give this bonus).

So you get the same progression out of CoL as you would UM with a loss of 2 casting levels. No big loss at that point, though.

Thats iffy, i would say check with your DM first as wanted to do this but with mystic thurge and CoL but my DM ruled that its only Class Features from a Base Class you have Not a Prestige Class.

My first assumption was UA, but that one isn't supposed to be used with normal classes...

So was mine, and the UA class limits it's spell list based on divine or arcane specifications - which is why I asked. I was wondering where the druid and cleric spell lists got included in the class' spells.

Concerning the "+1 class feature" Legacy Champion bit (also, Uncanny Trickster [Complete Scoundrel]): This perpetuates the class features, e.g. spellcasting, of one class you have. You'd have to decide whether you want this to add to your Domain Wizard or your Generic Caster spellcasting.

Ultimate Magus doesn't have spellcasting as a class feature of its own - it just perpetuates spellcasting from a class you already have, just like Legacy Champion or Uncanny Trickster would.
Ultimate Magus perpetuates spellcasting from two classes that grant it, however, unlike Legacy Champion or Uncanny Trickster, which only perpetuates class features from one class each level.

Sounds about like what I found

So pretty much everything everyone is saying is what I thought.... Yeah the generic Caster is from UA. And the Ultimate Magus is the only prestige class to advance two arcane casting classes with.

With the spell progression as it is I will only have One 9th level spell per day plus my 9th level domain spell per day, and if I sacrifice any more spell levels I will not attain 9th level spells by 20th level. So I think talking to my DM and seeing if he will allow me to take the Mystic Theurge due to the fact that I designated my generic caster as divine for purposes of ability score and scroll & item usage. Maybe he will be generous. If I am able to take Mystic Theurge I will be casting 9th level spells for DomWiz and 8th level spells for Generic Caster. If not then I will just be stuck with 9th Level DomWiz spells and 5th level spells for my Generic Caster class.... I mean don't get me wrong at 20th level to be able to cast 73 spells is awesome! but being able to cast 95 spells per day would be ROCKIN!!!!!!!!!!!! So I'll cross my fingers!
