Arcane prestige classes

I have a Satyr lvl1 Scout and lvl6 Sorc. Is there any prestige classes that allow you to gain metamagic feats faster than if I just stayed sorcerer and then took arcane trickster or something? Like a fighter type arcane prestige class that gave feats every other level or more often than just the 3,6,9,12 etc.

Also I thought somewhere that if you gave up having a familiar there were benifits. I am at work and cant remember where i thought i saw that off the top of my head.

The only class that definitely gets a bunch of bonus metamagic feats is the Wiz. There may be certain PrCls that get certain metamagic feats faster. Archmage, Ultimate Magus and Master Specialist spring to mind...but those may require levels in Wizard anyway.

As for Familiars, there are usually articles in Dragon that detail tradeoffs for those. Unearthed Arcana also has some similar tradeoffs, but they're only available to Wizards.

You're thinking of some ACFs, like Metamagic Specialist or Divine Companion.

They're great to have. If you want a familiar (they can be good), then you trade out your familiar for, say, the ability to cast metamagic without an increase in casting time 3+ int mod times per day and get it back with Obtain Familiar at level three. This has the advantage of getting you a familiar who's advancement is based off of your caster level*, not your sorcerer level, so you can have it advance fully as you prestige class out of sorcerer.

*Unless I misremember the feat.

Incantrix could be perfect. Since I specialize in rays basically already all the meta magic feats will be perfect. Plus stacking with my normal feat progression.

I always liked Reach Spell to increase the variety of rays at my disposal.

Now I'm just being picky/greedy. But does anyone know of a caster class that gives Iron will as a bonus feat lvl 1 or 2? And def gonna use the reach spell for shivering touch in a few levels. Maybe even before split spell ,but unlikely. If I can get Iron will for a bonus i wont have to wait and burn my 9th lvl feat on it. Then can use that feat for Arcane Thesis.

So, you're ECL 14, right? Just wondering, because I would have thought Satyr wasn't a particularly good choice for a spellcaster, due to the high RHD and LA.
