Pathfinder 1E Arcane Sight and Polymorph

First Post
If you observe someone with Arcane Sight who is under the effects of Pooymorph, would you detect an aura of Transmutation around them?

How about lingering Transmutation auras from areas they've been?

Thanks!

Would you see the aura in areas they've been passing through? I would say no, since the spell was not cast on the area. But you would probably see a lingering aura on the creature after the spell has ended.

Given how the spells are described, you should also be able to see the aura of an invisibility spell.

How about a lingering aura if the spell were cast at a specific location?

For example: In a room, a Human casts Polymorph and transforms into an Elf. The "Elf" leaves the room. Would there be a lingering aura of the spell being cast in the room, or would the aura move along with the casting creature?

As I read it, it is the spell that leaves the lingering aura. As such, it would linger wherever the spell was in effect, which is "on the human," not "in the room."

Thus, the lingering aura would remain on the human (and move with him).
