Jubilex! Jubilex! Jubilex!

...And the crowd goes wild, Phil! You can hear them clear to Halifax!

You said it Bob! Jubilex has always been a real crowd pleaser north of the border!

Book of Vile Darkness = sold!

As Monte said on his own boards, the Archdevils and the Demon Lords/Princes will be the major reason I will buy this product. I pretty much can do all the other stuff (I've been playing since 1983) but having 3e stats for these guys, yeah, I'll buy it. Just wish it wasn't $32.95 but still I'll get it. I'm sure that all the other stuff in there will only enhance my game. :)

i'm the exact opposite -- i have no use for archdevil / demon prince stats, but i'll be looking forward to everything else in the book.

i don't like making up my own rules, so having monte do the crunchy bits for that stuff is cool. monsters, on the other hand, even uber-monsters, i can make myself. :)

I think Monte should donate a copy to Jack Chick! I'm already looking forward to that idiot's (Chick, so we're clear) next inspiring burst of intelligence, tolerance, and open-mindedness. :D

So far the list of Demon Lords from looking at the MotP, DotF, On Hallowed Ground and Fiends: Faces of Evil are...

Alvarez
Alzrius
Baphomet
Demogorgon
Eldanoth
Fraz Urblu
Graz'zt
Jubilex
Kostchtchie
Lissa'aera
Luperico
Lynkhab
Orcus
Pale Night
Pazuzu/ Pazrael
Sess'innek
Thralhavoc
Verin
Vucarik
YeenoghuZuggtmoyZzyczesiya (don't know if it really was a demon lord, or just a Blue Slaad scholar over-exaggerating)

Marduk might count as one, but he has the misfortune of sharing a name with a Lawful Neutral (last time I checked) Greater Deity from the Babylonian Pantheon, and could be overlooked because of this. Lolth doesn't count because she was one of the Seldarine (the Elven Pantheon), and I'm sure everything about her being a Demon Lord was just Elven propaganda (unless all the members of the Elven Pantheon are Demon Lords), because they probably find it shameful that she was one of their gods.

The older demon lords such as Grazz't are well ebstablished, the newer ones (such as Pale Night) we've only been given one paragraph in an entry narrated by a Blue Slaad named Xanxost who studies Demons (by smashing rocks into their faces).
But anyways, I'm sure we'll at least get stats for Grazz't and Demogorgon since they count as major demon lords. I'll certainly like to know more about many of the other Demon Lords. Whether it be Zuggtmoy (which I haven't read much about) or a newer one like Lynkhab.

Hey if Alaric think it's alright then Monte's got a buyer! ;) Seriously I'm just getting for THESE guys alone. In some ways I'm GLAD they get their own book as MM2 would have sucked if they didn't get their own appendix at least...but their own book REALLY rocks. Fiend Folio 3e here we come! :D

Well he'd better. :) Otherwise I'll sicc Scott and Clark on him! ;) *is kidding* *hopes his evil license doesn't get revoked because of that remark*

Here is some info about demon lords and devils, etc...this is posted elsewhere on this

[perhaps a shameless plug as well...:)]

"Scott and I are under NDAs for both the MM2 and the BoVD. We cant mention the contents. But I can say that I am aware of the contents and there will be no (well, almost no) duplication in Tome of Horrors (we are doing 2 or 3 that they are doing by special arrangement).

And yes, ToH will include Demon Princes and Arch Devils from the original 1E MM, the Fiend Folio and the original MM2. I just cant say which ones. It was important to us (and to WotC) that there not be overlap and there wont be.

Clark"
