Archer Template

I'm making a lvl 11 archer for the adventure I am in right now, my last one consisted of 1 lvl ranger 7 lvls fighter 2 lvls Order of the bow and 1 level shadow dancer (i took flaws for feats) well that "toon" lasted me for some time but i know it could of been made a lot better i was wondering if any of you had some suggestions to what would make for a strong archer.

This may sound odd coming from a mmorpg developer, but the "toon" and "template" references sadden me for some reason.

It just seems so... impersonal. I don't mind it much in MMO's just because with the exception of real roleplaying servers, there is much less of a connection to the characters. But in tabletop, it just feels strange, somehow almost degrading to the character.

Then again, I've been told by my fellow players that I get disturbingly attached to my characters, so that could be part of the problem.

naw guess it just adds on to me....been playing some many MMORPG games......i just get addicted to the language so....differences are differences
