I gotta say that Vrock just kicks arse, my jaw dropped when it fell out of the box. What a rush! I can't wait to use that sucker in my campaign. And Bone Devils! Can't have enough of those.

Hehe the Vrock is also the 1st rare I found. I didn't think it'd be this big! The aspect of Orcus is pretty nice too. That dude looks like a baaaaad motha.

I don't see that as bad luck at all! Always good to have lots of people to use as mooks.

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that before the minis were released, people were screaming about not being able to get lots of Orcs/Kobolds/etc because of the randomization...now we get complaints of TOO MANY Orcs/Kobolds/etc? Ahhh, irony.

I only buy the figs intermittently, for rpg purposes. I got a Harbinger starter and booster, two Dragoneyes, and then last week a Dragoneye and an Archfiend.

Got the ol' Aspect of Orcus for my rare, and a giant spider in the Dragoneye.

I was happy.

The excitement of getting an Aspect of Bane in my first pack (good for ogre mages) was lessened by getting a Unicorn (aka my little pony) in my second pack

I have bad luck with some of the packs I get from my FLGS and better luck with ones my friend orders in bulk. I like the painting on the silver dragon too bad I didnt get one

I remember that too. Irony...so delicious.

In the 4 packs I have bought so far I have gotten only doubles of commons (ie I have no more than 2 of any common) and that has happened on really cool stuff like the Dread Guard! All in all I think I doubled up on 3 common minis.

Except the Sage. Got 3 of him. The human Commoner you don't expect much from. A Sage i would figure could at least cast a spell or something.

Oh I just remembered I also got a double of the Dark Moon Monk - but that was fine with me - great sai wielding mini!

For the record my rares were Drizzt (promptly traded away for 18 <----not a typo other minis), Aspect of Bane, Red Wizard and Silver Dragon.

Hey If you want to trade for it, its all yours. I have NO use for a unicorn in my game. It would have to take the place of all horses in my game and it would really spoil the mood if I was like: "Behold! The mighty Nightmare strides forth on its hooves of flame, striking terror into the hearts of men" and then I place down the soft, white unicorn leaping ever so gently up onto its hind legs to say: "hello...I love you!"

I bought my first ever mini's pack today, a booster of Archfiends. I deliberately took a few moments to heft a half dozen boxes and see if any were noticably heavier. I settled on one that seemed heftier and bought it. I opened it and immediately saw purple and was like "OH YES! DEMOGORGON!", but then I reached in and pulled out something else and said, "OH YES, A VROCK!"

A vrock was one of the rares I would have been happen with, but I'm curious to see Demogorgon. However, I'm not going to sink money into this, I passed that phase long ago.

I was a bit disappointed with Demogorgon. He's a bit flat in person, in the picture he looks like he's all waving tentacles and heads, but thats just a flattering camera angle. Mine also has some quick white brushstrokes on the muzzle, which I think are supposed to suggest Baboon-ness but fail to do so.

OTOH, Aspect of Orcus is much cooler in person than in the 2D picture.

I have bought three Archfiends packs and managed to get TWO...count them TWO Demogorgons. I like the mini, but some variety would be great.

From an earlier post about the human commoner....its not that it is a BAD mini...but they could have made a MUCH better weapon choice. Instead of a scythe that takes up four squares, how about him standing at attention with a nice spear, halberd or pitchfork? THAT is a commoner mini I could use more often.

I have yet to see a good human wizard mini that impresses me. Some are close, but ehhh.....

Love the new skeleton warrior. Nothing like a little variety. And the Dalelands militia is excellent. Also, since I am currently running a campaign that is heavily steeped in the Lathandrian church, the Cleric of Lathander was MOST welcome (I got TWO!)
