Archivist and/or Spirit Shaman Experiences? What are they like in-game?

I am not sure if the author commented on the Adept directly. It wouldn't matter in my own campaign, as I don't use the Adept, but have other NPC classes that are similar (i.e. Acolyte for a Cleric-lite class, and Hedge Wizard or Witch (just a name) for a Wizard-lite class, as well as others for Ranger-lite Hunters, Paladin-lite Squires, Barbarian-lite Tribesmen, and some others).

fyi, I also have a mechanism to 'graduate' these npc classes to the standard form (gradually) when a particular NPC becomes more prominent to the campaign or otherwise takes on a bigger role.... but all this has little to do with Archivists otherwise. Sorry for minor derail.
