Are any 3rd parties releasing 4th edition material right when the new cores come?

Does anyone have any idea if any third party will release material when the new books come out? It would be good timing because there wouldn't be much competition at that poin.

As of this moment, that's impossible, because WotC has not released the GSL.

I thought they released some developer's kit for like $5000. I remember reading about that on wizards.

What Wulf said, even if the got the GSL today. I think gencon would be the earliest we might see 3rd party stuff unless it was a PDF only. Then maybe June. At this point I wouldn't be shocked that the first 3rd party stuff doesn't show up until after Gencon. Which would be bad for the 3rd party publishers and not so good for DnD.

They made noise about it - that's as far as it's gotten so far. At this point, I wouldn't hold my breath on seeing 3rd-party stuff at launch. Hell, I'm getting more and more skeptical of seeing much 3rd-party stuff at all, let alone at launch.

Even if the GSL was in the publisher's hands back in January, the answer would still be no because the Phase 1 publishers wouldn't be allowed to release anything until August 1st.
