D&D 5E Are Challenge Ratings of dragons accurate in 5ED&D?

The vote choices aren't quite broad enough

My approaching-finished CR assessment method currently shows over 92% accuracy in assessment for monsters of CR1 or higher. That includes the 7 dragons available before the Monster Manual. About half of these are at the top of their CR or slightly over. The other half are clearly well above their listed CR.

42% of my exceptions are Dragons evaluating above their CR lol.

Obviously the model isn't finished yet, although it's getting close. But hopefully that gives you some idea of where Dragons might sit.

No option for all over the place. The low level ones are generally overpowered, the mid to high level ones are something of a mixed bag and the high level ones are underpowered.
