D&D 4E Are Lizardfolk Confirmed for 4e?

Actually the Trandoshans in SAGA are a great example of how a lizardman outhgt to be. They could easily be ported into 4E as is, san the DEX penalty. They get +2 STR, +2 CON, -2 DEX, +1 natural armor, the Toughness feat (+1 hp/level) AND Limb Regenration.

Very Sweet. :D

I personally hope they use the Poison Dusk variety as the standard Lizardfolk. They worked really well without having the problem of racial hit dice that MM1 lizardfolk did.

I also really hope they make it into MM1 - as long as they return to being Lizard*men*.

Me too. I doubt it will happen consider the politics of the designer of the game. "Men" would be "sexist". The gender neutral "folk" is used instead. And people wonder why WoW is huge while D&D is a niche. They are more concern over today's political correctness like this then they are giving the game a string fantasy feel and open feel.

Yeah! Let's have Trandosians to play! That'd be funny but fun.

Yes, I'm sure that WoW has millions of players who would be playing D&D instead if only lizardfolk were called lizardmen.

Actually, the only gender-related thing I can recall about WoW is that they ignored their own setting's fluff to avoid having to restrict certain classes by gender. Real politically incorrect, there.

It's possible that lizardfolk will be saved for 2009's Monster Manual, since Eberron should be coming out that year and it does a lot more with various breeds of lizardfolk (blackscale, poison dusk, cold sun) than other settings.

Please provide a single shred of evidence--heck, even reasonable speculation---that WoW's popularity is in any way connected to 3e's adoption of the term 'folk'.

I would miss and be very surprised if the Lizard "folk" didn't make it into the First MM 4.0

At this point, little WoTC does can geniunely surprise me. After all, hasn't then been talk of the frost giant being held for a ltter book? On the other hand we're supposed to be getting the cyclops...

It seems to me that WotC isn't the only one concerned with political correctness. What's wrong with the term lizardfolk? How does it offend thee?
