Are Spellscarred characters "Arcane"

This will hopefully be a quick question. Does a character with the "Student of the Plague" multiclass feat (FRPG p. 139) count as an Arcane class for feat selection?

I could see arguements going either way on this one.

I'm going to check the CB tonight when I get home, see what that says. I can't help but think that while it should, it probably won't. I'll also discuss it with my DM (as is certainly expected when doing just about anything) and see what he says.

I'm pretty sure with how lacking most Spellscarred features are, he'd let my Brawler modify a power a bit.

All I've got on me are pdfs of the original books so there's no update for me to double check. I don't really think they've done much with Spellscarred at all since the FRPG was put out. :(

Thanks for the responses, all.

I just checked. Spellscarred characters do NOT count as Arcane, despite the fact that they should.

Just 'cause it needs to be said; what the CB does and does not allow, should not be taken as evidence for the intent of the rules. It's a great piece of software, but ...

I completely agree, but it is a good spot to get a foothold when presenting a case. The DM is generally pretty sensible when you can actually point to something supporting the arguement. I'll likely just have to show him that every power has "Arcane" as a keyword and he'll handwave the whole thing.

To answer your earlier question: I wanted to add another damage type to "Spellmother's Embrace" so I could up the damage a bit later on.

Now that you mention it though... there's probably a familiar out there I'd want. That rootling is freakin' adorable. If only there were a Nurgling familiar...
