Are they changing any of the classes in the Revised Core Books?

Anyone heard anything about class changes in the Revised Rules? Rangers being able to take their own race as a favored enemy without being evil? Druids using more weapons? Sorcerers having Charisma based skills?

I dunno. But I hope the changes are of the kind you mentioned: ones that don't invalidate characters and NPCs that currently exist.

well wotc has officially said two things on the subject: [1] there will be some changes to better balance the classes, and [2] any changes will be completely backwards compatible. there have yet to be any details forthcoming on this but there are plenty of older threads filled with speculation if you have the time....

Classes

Bard, Ranger and Sorcerer get tweaked. More feats available, which gives core Fighters more options as well. Druid weapon restrictions abolished (at least partially). Monks are more customizable.

[2] Huh? what do they mean by backward compatible? If you give rangers 2 extra skill pts, for example, it's going to screw up every ranger PC/NPC that's ever been made...
