5e or numenera

I'm curious to see what he does with Numenera, but at the end of the day I care more about RPGs I expect to play*. So, I go with the odds and I'm more curious about DDN.

* There are _lots_ of intriguing RPGs that I don't expect to play that could line up before Numenera. They just tend to cost enough I can't justify picking them up.

I'll pick up Numenera for the world (its sounds interesting) and probably just use Savage Worlds to run it. For DDN, I'll pick up good modules/game worlds if they happen to come out with any.

I'm not terribly interested in another set of rules at the moment.

Numsomething is a courious oddity among upcomming RPGs, which I guess does make it interesting in some way.
But I really don't care about it at all. The premise is interesting, but nothing I'd want to invest any time or effort in, and I also don't like Cooks approach to game design in general.

I am by miles more interested in dndnext. That said, I have supported Numenera's kickstarter, since I must admit, it is the first RPG (non-dnd) since Alternity and CoC that piked my interest.

I've always been intrigued by fantasy settings where there are hints of high technology from ages past. Wheel of Time jumps to mind immediately with its references to the Age of Legends. It is a fun concept to dabble with but DDN and 13th Age are the systems that most interest me at this point.
