Are you planning on participating in Free RPG Day at a FLGS? Is it an option for you?

Edit: I just realized there is a hole. If you are planning on both organizing/running events and playing in events, choose organizing/running.

Pretty much Father's Day ruins it for me, I'd rather spend my weekend with the kids than gamers.

The first year Green Ronin did (because they didn't have it ready in time).

After that a number of companies put them up later (I am pretty sure they are obligated not to put it up the same day) including WotC.

In fact, Goodman Games already has a web expansion for their Amethyst giveaway here (it's on their website, too, but it seems to inaccessable right now).

I am fortunate that both of my game stores are participating. One is a major FLGS and wouldn't miss it for anything. The other I am actively organizing it and trying to get as much participation as possible.

My FLGS is participating, and I'm hoping to get there early enough to get what I want for once. Depending on what games they have going, I'd be tempted by playing in a game, but it's a busy weekend.

And I also agree that planning and scheduling this for Father's Day weekend might not have been the smartest idea.
