Argh, more Sage trouble

Well, he started it himself. Let's do it with one as well.

There is a microbrewery in Victoria that I went to once. They brew a beer called "Moonshine", which is 12% alcohol. Not exactly the best tasting stuff around, but it had a kick.

Note that this is the weak stuff. They also brew something called "Supershine", which is 15% alcohol.

That sound like an average Belgian beer, 12% to 16% alcohol volume. They have beer down there going up to about 22%, now that's scary.

Carlberg brews a beer called Elephant Beer, which is 9.2% without being to foul tasting.

No. You can cast the teleport, but it's instantly suppressed before it can take effect. Since teleport has no duration, it will not be able to take effect later, and is lost.

AMF prevents any magic from working inside the field (by instantly suppressing it), and blocks line of effect through the area covered by the AMF (because the spell specifically creates a barrier against magic).

No rule 0 necessary. It doesn't work even with Sage's clarification.

I've got word back from the Sage confirming the AMF functionality that I suggested in my first post of this thread. (I've snipped the introductory part of my email -- it's basically identical to the first post of this thread).

According to Skip, both "personal" and "touch" spells are allowed (assuming he read my question closely).

I'm really not sure what to make of these seemingly contradictory FAQ entries.

The two statements are not contradictory.

Perhaps the implication is that in an antimagic field, the only useful magic is personal- or touch-ranged spells, which lie dormant until the antimagic field ends?

Correct. Antimagic filed only suppresses spells, it doesn't dispel them. (It does block line of effect, which isn't an issue for anything you cast on yourself.
