Ariel gets outspoken and beaten again by yet another white belt..[Ariel drops a tier]

As the overconfident Ariel moves in for the kill, Samidare jumps high in the air, soaring right over her unleashed fury! "Though your skill be sharper than the farmer's scythe, and your victories more numerous than the grains of rice in the field," he cries, "I shall yet defeat you!" Landing in a graceful crouch, he springs forward, fist aimed at the cavern of her belly.

The fist attacks the cavern; leaps over the offensive of the farm!

OOC: sorry kal...but I have asked sabaron to judge this match because both Kirin and I are online at this moment and this should be a short match...... this all depends if Kirin will let sabaron judge as well..if not...we will wait till tomorrow when Kal returns.........

An elderly, mustachioed gentleman, dressed in a gray vest, gray pants, a white shirt and a black cape approaches the two of you. He is wearing a monocle and holding a wineglass.

In a hoarse voice, he proclaims: "My name is Franklin, a man of great discerning, intellect and refinement. I am here to judge the merit of your moves; in a highly artistic fashion of course."

"Now, for the moves. Ariel is firm and unyielding, yet moves swiftly. She kicks when she is off the ground, robbing her of her leverage, though she does infuse this with the power of thunder. So, to sum up: Breezy yet heavy, like a leaden wind, with a sour aftertaste."

"Kirin is a young vintage... not yet tested. He moves hastily, and says a great deal during the leap; perhaps he leaps too high? He does, however, follow his move much more closely. He also refrains from describing the effects of his blows before they land. So, to sum up: A bit acrid at first, but mellows considerably and has a classy finish."

"Point Kirin! One flag Kirin, one flag neutral."

*Ariel..knowing she has to be carefull... she know whit belts have beaten her before.... knows her powers need to be used now.......*

"Phoenix Fire!!! Wither Him to Ash!!!"

*She shows the power of her sword and unsheaths so fast a trail of fire is left from sheath to sword....... *

*Ariel this time tumbles into range with her foe and launches her sword at Kirin... tring to catch him off guard.... not everyday do you have a flaming sword thrown at you......*

Samidare appears shocked to see a fiery blade thrust at him, but he is not so shocked as to be paralyzed. Reflexively dropping into the low stance of the Scorpion, he ducks beneath the flying blade, and it whizzes harmlessly over his head. Crouching, he begins to circle Ariel. "I did not expect such sorcerous trickery from a black belt," he says as he circles. "But I need none to deal with you. The masters say the body is a temple. I say it is a graveyard, for it is full of bones; and now I shall break a few of yours!"

Taking another moment to size up his foe, Samidare draws back, then whips his hand forward in a cutting blow, one so low that his hand carves a furrow in the earth as it goes, and of such strength that, were he holding a blade, the blow would sever a limb.

The scorpion severs the cemetery; parts the thrust of the holy ground!

((Sorry, forgot to include the move itself the first time around.))

Franklin takes a sip of his wine as he watches the two spar.

"Ariel's move seems to make little sense here. She got the fire part right, but what does a thrown sword have to do with withering clouds? Absolutely nothing... perhaps if she had tried to fry her opponent instead of trying to pull a Vlad Tsepes, it would have been more appropriate. I also saw no hint of defense anywhere in this attack. So, to sum up: Hot and bold flavor, like a barbecue sauce, but no subtlety like a true move should possess. Definitely white zinfandel."

"Kirin's move isn't much better. While his taunt is original to my ears and adds a special something to his attack, it is nonetheless quite silliness, as he drains all momentum from his attack by burrowing his hand like a questing mole. The blow still seemed fearsome, however. Unlike Ariel's attempt at defense, which was non-existant, Kirin's is counter-productive; keeping one's hand in the dirt will not block anything, especially a flaming sword hurtling toward your face. So, to sum up: Earthy and flavorful, but an aftertaste of the grave."

"Now, which do I like better? An earthy wine that ultimately disappoints? Or a white zinfandel that tastes more like Bullseye?"

Point and match Kirin!

Kirin, through a clever choice of match, you have triumphed against one far stronger than you. You may advance to one of the following: Honor, Sash, Yakuza or Darkness and become, respectively: Green Belt 1, Silver Sash 1, Gang Boss 1, Dark Warrior 1. You have also matched a record, and your name shall be inscribed beside it in the Hall of Records. Take this bottle of 1345 French white and enjoy it with a friend!

Ariel, you have lost, though through no fault of your own. You fall to Brown Belt 6. At least your disgrace is gone. Take this complementary box of Sawmill Springs Red Vino, and drown your sorrows.

ooc: Don't take Franklin seriously; both your moves aren't nearly as bad as he makes them sound. ;)

Bowing to Ariel, Samidare says, "I thank you again, Eastwind-san, for consenting to fight me. I recognize your superior skill and know that only the grace of the Fortunes gave me victory this night. I hope that when we meet again, my skill will be equal to your own!"

Turning to Franklin, Samidare bows deeply and says, "I thank you, Franklin-sama, for judging this match, and for your generous gift of fine wine. I regret that I lack a suitable gift to give you in exchange. As to my choice of path, I must indeed consider this at length, for my future hinges upon this choice.

"In regard to this, I must inquire: if I choose the path of honor, do I gain two dojo styles, or but one? It should distress me to lag behind my newfound peers in this regard."

You may pick up both dojo styles. Just do not gain another tier without choosing them. The one for yellow belt becomes mastered immediately(and becomes a sig style) while you must still 'learn' the one for green belt.

T"hen I shall follow the path of honor, and don the green belt. I take it that my signature styles are Scorpion and Fist?"
