Millions of years ago, back in 1984 when I was really solid into playing 1st Edition DnD, I brought an interesting character concept to my enterprising DM. I wanted to play a pseudodragon thief. The DM researched his DMG, and had me read Gary Gygax's strong recommendations against monster PCs. Then, I convinved him that since a pseudodragon was such a "weak" monster that it would be fair to let me play one as a theif. He agreed, but only on the condition that if things didnt work out or the character was too powerful, I would drop it and make up a regular character. I agreed, and Arishanni the pseudodragon thief was born! She lasted through several adventures, before ultimately meeting her doom. Alas, but what fun I had in the meantime!
For those of you who are old-time DnDers, she died midway through the Lost City of Tamoanchan.
And here she is, neatly converted to 3rd edition! Woo says there arent others in her family that have taken up her name and profession? lol
Well...I know this isnt exactly with the rules of the game,but pseudodragons are smart enough to take up a character class, so why not?
Arishani: Female Pseudodragon 2/Rogue 1: CR 2; Tiny Dragon; HD 2d12+1d6+3 (18 hp); Init +3 (Init); Spd 15ft., fly 60 ft. (good); AC 21 (+2 size, +3 Dex, +6 natural); Atk +7 melee (1d3 sting plus poison [20, ×2]), –1 melee (1 bite [20, ×2]); SA Sneak Attack, Poison; SQ See Invisibility, Telepathy, Immunities, SR 19, +4 racial bonus to Hide; AL CN; SV Fort +4, Ref +5, Will +4; Str 10, Dex 17, Con 12, Int 13, Wis 12, Cha 14.
Skills and Feats: Appraise +4, Bluff +5, Disable Device +4, Escape Artitst +6, Hide +22, Intuit Direction +6, Listen +8, Move Silently +6, Open Lock +6, Pick Pocket +6, Search +5, Spot +8, Alertness, Weapon Finesse (sting).
Special Attacks: Sneak Attack (+1d6), Poison Fort save DC 12 (sleep for 1 minute, sleep for 1d3 days).
Special Qualities: See Invisible 60’, Telepathy with any being that can speak Common or Sylvan, Immunity to sleep and paralysis, SR 19.
