Arkham horror

Need explanation

Turn 1:
Let’s say that during the encounter in Arkham phase the investigator is sucked into a gate. Thus, he is placed on the left side of the other world. Then comes the other world encounter phase and he draws an encounter card right?
Turn 2:
During the movement phase, the investigator moves to the right part of the world and takes a second encounter during the encounter phase right?
Turn 3:
In his movement phase the character sucked back to the city and during his encounter in Arkham phase he can try to close/seal the gate.

Am I right? Investigators have 2 encounters in the other dimension?

This is correct provided that the gate already existed when the investigator moved to that location.

If there was NOT a gate, but one appears due to a location encounter that says "a gate appears!", the investigator will be delayed and will take 3 other world encounters.

Finally, if the investigator is sucked into a new portal during the Mythos phase, they are delayed ... but since the Other Worlds phase has already passed, the net effect is still 2 encounters.
