Armageddon 2089

First Post
I am eagerly awaiting Armageddon 2089. I have a question from the description of your product on your site.

Do the rules assume that there is only one mech per party? Or can/does each person own one?

What kinds of classes are available? Just mech pilots? Combat infantry? Pilots?

Can we get some teaser information?

BTW, I love the PDF on your site with the mech graphic.

Any word on when we are getting this in our hands?

Thanks,

Razuur

Assumption is, assuming you're creating a Mek-based mercenary, corporate, criminal or military company/squad that you have one Mek per PC

An array of Mek Pilots, from the generalist field Mek Officer to the more specialised comms, scout or assault officers. There are also some non-mek classes included and these will be built upon in the upcoming supplements.

Can we get some teaser information?

I'll see about doing up some more, probably next week but i'm in the middle of laying out Babylon 5 atm..priorities are everything ;)

Thanks for then answers.

Don't let this delay B5! I am ready for that one too!

Actually by teaser information, I meant simply some answers to my questions, which you did. While I'd love a PDF, it will probably only make the wait for the final product even harder!

Thanks again,

Razuur

Matt will probably speak up in a moment, but let me answer from what I've read:

Starting characters belong to a group (corp, merc, national, etc). From there they have a starting budget to purchase mechs (I don't remeber the actual $ figure, but it was in a preview). More than one mech can be afforded.

Matt has said an entire range of books is forthcoming that will enable you to be infantry, armor companies, etc other than mech pilots.

Dig through this forum and you will find posts from Mongoose_Matt with links to preview info posted by Matt.

edit - Dang! Too late! Thanks Paul.

Saw it--and it is an unbeliveable full color piece of art that is bound and for sale. This is a very tight looking book, and we are working on our first supplement and the writers are doing a great job. Jason Parent (Hellhound) is one of the writers and he is into it and that means we got something good!

This book (Armageddon 2089-Total War) is solid and our book--Upgrades: Armor will see the light of day later in 2003.
