Armor Special Ability: Blunt

This armor reduces the critical threat range of weapons used against its bearer by half. Price adjustment +1.

Example: The wearer of Blunt Armor is successfully attacked by a foe wielding a weapon with 17-20 critical range. The foe rolls an 18, normally a critical threat, but his critical threat is reduced by the Blunt Armor to 19-20, and so the 18 is not a critical threat.

Problem: what if their range was 18-20 (a rapier or scimitar)? Round against the player to 19-20, I'd suppose.

You're effectively stopping critical hits 50% of the time. This sounds to me a lot like the Light Fortification ability, except LF stops critical hits and sneak attacks 25% of the time. To me, the critical hit side of the Fortification armors was more important than the sneak attack side, since only one core class can SA but all of them can get crits. So, making your ability +1 might be a bit overpowered, but not by much.

It's not that the ability can't work, I'm just wondering why you'd bother with it when the Fortification abilities already exist.
