Armour of Command - Errataed?

I couldn't find a Defenders of the Faith errata on the Wizard's website, but has it been clarified whether the "Command" armour special quality adds a +4 competence bonus to Charisma or (like the original Breastplate) a +2 competence bonus to Charisma-based checks, or other?

The one in DotF definitely gives (gave?) you the bonus to Charisma.

My gaming group has decided this has been erattaed because the ability was reprinted in the Arms and Equipment Guide, and it now acts just like the one from the DMG (charisma abilities, but not actually charisma).

So as far as I know, there isn't official errata, but the ability does something different in a newer source.

Thanks! (I don't own the AEG at this point, but if it's been reprinted there with a check bonus rather than a Cha bonus then I suspect that's what it 'should' give.)
