I thought it was what they said it was. A book with lots of Arms and Armor in it.

I agree with Khan, maybe you should explain what you expected and how it failed then maybe we could talk about it.

Well, i'm not sure what i was totally expecting.

I just think some of the weapons are mostly uneeded, and a little hard to imagine.

I do like some of the weapon magic qualiities, but others, just seem, i dunno, like they made them to fill in space.

I was hoping for some good drawings, but hey, its doesn't matter that much, but good drawings, of weapons, and armour, would be really nice.

(I assume you refer to Bastion Press' Arms and Armor.)

I thought is was okay. The ideas were pretty good, but the mechanics cane down to (1d4-2)d(1d6*2), crit x (1d3+1) on (1d3+17).

For example, the nightling cleaver (a cross between a huge cleaver and a greataxe) has crit 18-20/x2.

'Nuff said.

It strikes me as an attempt to transfer the ethos of GURPS Vehicles (which you can use to make anything from a crossbow to a Star Destroyer) to D&D. Unfortunately, D&D isn't quite so kind to aspiring gearheads as GURPS is.
