The kobold looks like he's wearing a skirt.

Then again... Scottish Kobolds! Yee! :)

(disclaimer: I do crazy thinking like this whenever I do a piece)

When first illustrating regular kobolds, I figured they'd wear tabards, robes and other "loose" garments, since it must be very uncomfortable to wear pants when you have a tail.

Then along came modern kobold. He's small, so he kills some children to get clothing, hence the sweatvest and the "sock-glove". But he needs something extra, and since he lives in the sewers of Seattle, he kills a grunge fan who walks by and uses his plaid flannel shirt as a kilt of sorts.

There's another kobold in CC3, this time more advanced, and he wears the shirt of Brazil's soccer team. :)

Anyone noticed the ogre's wearing belts as bracers?

Or P-kitty's badge?

Well, pants are not uncomfortable with a tail if you do two things:

Cut a hole in the back for the tail to thread through (difficult to remove in a hurry, but eh).

Pull the pants up to the point just beneath the tail. You could likely tie it on there, or have a split in the back with a second 'button' to button over the tail.

But robes and kilts and the like work also. :)

If you're wondering, I've had a lot of furry characters. :D

Awesome work, like always, Claudio!

Your character's expressions have gotten better and better over the years -- I especially love the saucy grin on Piratecat's face.

Counter Culture

He didn't even post my fave -- the girl who's into the occult (I'd refer to her as an "occultist", but don't want to tread to closely to non-released portions of D20 Modern) :)

You know, there are so many ideas in this Collection that we could play a game where people describe a random d20 Modern character, and then realize that IT'S INCLUDED!!!
