What the hell, I might as well post the descriptions of the sample martial artists here as well.


ALEYA, master of Intuitive Archery (fighter/martial artist)
half-elf female, reddish-brown hair, green eyes, AL: LG.
slim, athletic build, medium height
gear of note: composite longbow, scabbarded longsword, bracers of archery, travelling gear but no armour.

Aleya is soft-spoken, but possessed of a steely determination. She became a master of her art by force of will and persistence, breaking an age-old taboo on teaching the secrets of Intuitive Archery to demi-humans. She has many acquaintances, but not many friends; to those who are her friends, she is intensely loyal.


KARTH, master of the Crimson Blade (rogue/martial artist)
human male, black hair, brown eyes, AL: NE.
muscular build, medium height.
gear of note: +2 bastard sword, bracers of dexterity, gauntlets of strength, black tunic and pants, no armour (again).

Karth is an intimidating man who radiates an unnerving aura (and it's not just his BO ). Once a lean and hungry streetkid, for various reasons he came to be the apprentice to an evil master swordsman. Now he's a master swordsman himself. Those who once scorned him will change their tune, or die.

Swimsuits of the Multiverse: For the end-of-summer swimsuit special, we’re going to have simple rules for a fantasy beauty contest. If you’re good at drawing beautiful people (men and women), it’d be nice to see some dashing heroes. They don’t even have to be in swimsuits, though it’s a plus. Since this is a D20 magazine, not just a D&D magazine, feel free to have settings other than medieval fantasy. Hmm. A Klingon teenager in a bathing suit, perhaps?

Question- Asgard is a free publication, right? Could one, then, draw the Iconics in swimsuits with no legal entanglements? I know the chances are damned slim, but would I ever love to draw them...

Sorry, the iconics in swimsuit idea is already taken. What do you think we're doing for the cover?

Okay, mark me down for the sword of justice, Bak-Tozak, and a purty swimsuit drow lady. The first two are colored and will probably be in your hands tomorrow, the last will have to wait another day or so.

I sent you an email with sketches of all the axiomatic weapons, but it looks like doc midnight was a little quicker on the draw

I'll draw an ancient egyptian and samurai paladin, and some kind of freaky girl in a swimsuit...maybe a dwarf...or an illithid...
