Artifact Level Wedge of Cheese

I tossed it into my game for the fun of it; I think I got the idea from the devious minds here. So what the hell does it do? I need your help; be creative!

It's obviously a hat. There's a whole industry devoted to the Wedge of Cheese Artifact in Green Bay, WI.

Hey! Bree is a kind of cheese. Maybe when you put it on your head (I already established that this is a hat) it turns the wearer in to a hobbit. Not the cool 3.5 svelt Lidda kind of hobbit, but the fat furry-footed variety?

The greatest trick that GodOfCheese pulled off was convincing the world he doesn't exist.

Some great ideas here, but if you want a little more "serious weird" rather than "silly weird" give it a power that has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that it's cheese. This was one of the things I liked about the mini-series The Lost Room. The "objects" in that story had these huge powers, but some of them were completely random. A comb that stopped time? What does a comb have to do with time? NOTHING.

So maybe the cheese lets you cast Gate once per day. Or maybe it gives you Spell Resistance 30 while you hold it. Or maybe it makes you immune to weapon damage.
