Ashes of Athas, a new shared world Darksun campaign from Wizards

Critical hits tweeted a cool tidbit about DDXP 2011 and Ashes of Athas a new shared world campaign set in DarkSun.

I'm not sure it's an official Wizards thing. LFR is barely an official Wizards thing these days, and Dave Christ (who runs DDXP) is not a Wizards employee. It's totally possible that this is a fairly independent campaign. Presumably they'd need the OK to use "Athas" in the name, of course.

Wow, not very excited about that. This is what they are busy killing LFR for? Sigh, well, there is always PFS for me personally, and perhaps there will be enough interest in it from my meetup to get it going.

The Ashes of Athas page listed on the baldmangames site is not working. Hopefully, it will be up soon. I'd like to find out more about it and see whether they are more open to outside involvement (in terms of campaign management and adventure authoring) than LFR was.

Looks like it's something that Baldman games is putting together for cons and big game events. I'm still interested.
