Ashin's Commission: Buried Alive

"Very well. However, now you are in grave danger," Zaeryl points out, "You probably should have retreated."

*The larger Afflicted growls and attacks Michael three times again, but only one attack connects. However, it knocks him unconscious.*

(OOC: 10 Damage)

*Zaeryl launches another energy blast, dropping the large Afflicted, but the smaller Afflicted avoids most of the damage and charges him, hurting fairly badly.*

(OOC: 8 Damage)

*As another Afflicted comes through, Zaeryl blasts again, dropping the injured one and stunning the other. With a quick crystal shard to drop the lastest Afflicted, he dashes forward and grabs the Wand of Cure Light wounds in a feeble attempt to heal Michael.*

(OOC: 16 + 5 = 21 on UMD, 7 Damage healed, so Michael is at 2, I believe)

"We have to get out of here now before more of them come. That ran us nearly entirely out of power."

Michael is not averse, and commences fleeing with Zaeryl.
After a few rounds of fleeing, he alternates fleeing with wanding himself and Zaeryl. If he spots a convenient point for another rockslide, he'll take a moment to cause it.
 

*The pair flee along through the warren-like passages, but when Michael stops to use the wand and look around for a place to rockslide, an Afflicted catches up, coming just behind them.*

(OOC: Michael heals himself and recovers 4 more, total 6. An Afflicted is just behind them)

*Zaeryl fires a Crystal Shard at it.*

"If we don't finish it off, it'll charge when it gets the chance. Can you kill it?"
 


*The Afflicted have good fortitude if anything, and so it easily resists the stunning effect.*

"Hmmm, that was a bit of a waste. Should've just whacked it."

*The Afflicted charges Michael, but it misses.*

"We'll summon a construct in case there are more, to clear the way behind us."

*Zaeryl begins concentrating.*

*Michael slams the Afflicted deep into unconsciousness, as Zaeryl summons a construct to go charging down the path behind them to clear out or at least block stragglers.*

"That will buy us at least 30 seconds with no pursuit. Let's heal up and then head out of here as soon as we can."
 


*Michael cannot find a safe and easy place to collapse, so they head onward through the maze of tunnels, until Michael's survival training shows him signs of an exit back into the open air. However, as they round the corner, Michael and Zaeryl come face-to-face with a small squad of Afflicted that have apparently decided to prevent any intruders from leaving by blocking the exit. There are seven regular Afflicted and two of the big ones.*

*Zaeryl curses in some unknown tongue, then whispers.*

"We have one more power after this and then nothing more for the rest of the day...Now's the time to pull out all the stops if you can."

*As he does so, a more powerful than usual burst of flame engulfs the Afflicted. All but one fail to escape the initial burst, three of them are knocked out, and all but one of those that keep consciousness are stunned, thankfully including both of the big ones.*

Does Michael have enough time to complete the full round casting of enlarge person before the stunning wears off?
If he does, that's the spell he casts.

If not, he takes a move action to back up 30 feet (hopefully bringing Zaeryl with him) and casts Magic stone, giving the stones to Zaeryl.

Then he'll try casting enlarge.
