Ashin's Commission: The Great Escape!

I think "protecting the wearer from harm and bringing her good luck" is the most definite statement we have right now. Whether that's DR, AC, Saving Throws, per day dice rerolls all of those or something else entirely is unknown to us.

Legend Lore: For a higher price than identify, find out the fluff about your item and still not know what to put on your character sheet! Silly spell....
I will tell all the currently-active powers to the next GM. Also, the Legend Lore made it clear that the stockings have some sort of sentience, so I would think that if anyone was truly curious, they might put them on and see ;) :]

That does seem to be the logical next step. The Legend Lore did at least establish the item to be beneficial, as opposed to cursed.

*When Hulgyr dons both socks, he feels an odd feeling, and then the world around him seems to blur, as countless episodes from his past rush through his vision. All his greatest victories and moments of triumph, but also his failings and moments of weakness. Noble qualities, flaws, and foibles seem to leap out into the darkness around him and form symbols that he can somehow perceive to represent their appropriate qualities. And then the socks are quiescent. They do not choose to talk to him, if they even can, but he has gained some sense of what they can do.*

(OOC: Hulgyr's character sheet lacks a history. Can you let me know what that is, especially vis-a-vis people who know him and wish him well on his adventures, actually thinking of him despite his absense from their side currently. Other PCs/comrades don't count)

[sblock=ooc]Awww, are you sure? We could all become Cheerleaders to power up the socks...

"Go Hulgyr, you the Barbarian! Go Hulgyr, you the Barbarian! Hulgyr! Hulgyr! Hulgyr!"[/sblock]

(OOC: The socks don't consider that to be a relevant factor, as pretty much everyone is supported by their own team when in the presence of said team. True heroes' names are on the lips of those across the lands even in the hero's absence. Also, from a theoretical magical standpoint of the item's nature, the socks only convert nascent energy from thoughts and desires that are not acted upon--presumably, the comrades of a PC will be acting upon their desire for the other PC's success! ;))

ooc: shoot. Hulgyr had a history and it somehow dissapeared off his sheet! I'll go looks for a backup when i get home (that's in about 10 hours from now).
