(OOC: Okay, this is kind of an obscure circumstance, but you guys are moving and then readying an action, right? It seems by strict reading of the RAW that you couldn't do it advantageously in the other order anyway, since readying specifically calls out that it isn't allowed to trigger until starting after your turn. )
 


(OOC: Yes, as I suspected)

*As the group tensely approaching the widened top of the ramp, just before it narrows off to the next tunnel, the Afflicted spring into action, having prepared for this moment. Several large Afflicted leap upon Michael, Hulgyr, and Ironwolf with their vicious attacks, leaving a bit of wiggle room in front, which the small Afflicted use to scamper through and avoid provoking attacks from Ironwolf due to cover. Meanwhile, from the sea of released villagers, some of them suddenly take on a malign and predatory gaze and dash towards the rear of the group, but they are too far away to attack yet.*

*Michael and Ironwolf suffer attacks from large Afflicted, Hulgyr from a little one, and all the remaining attacks are failures.*

(OOC: Okay, we're actually in the middle of the magnificent 3's turns. They still have a standard action left each, having not readied yet
