Ash'lon reports to Shou Ren...

... intentionally late.

Looking into he flames before him, and the hated mask within, he speaks:

"I have done what you wanted. I fought against that kid. You know that I lost, and I know that you don't care about it. You have just tested out these shackles that bind me to your will. DO NOT EXPECT THEM TO HOLD! Now I am here, and I am forced to await your next commands. Be quick."

 

[Ciaran]

"So." The sorcerer's voice sighs from the flames like a gust of hot wind. "You could not defeat a small boy. I am not impressed by your ability. What service shall you perform, then, that I should waken your dragon soul?"

 

[Knight Otu]

"Do not try to play games with me. You knew of the powers that boy commands, which is why you sent me! Given his abilities, I performed better than you could have expected!

I am certain that you have some sort of hit list, or whatever you call it. I loathe it, but I must offer you to assault one of those on the list. Choose, and choose quickly!"

 

[Ciaran]

"Do not tempt my patience." The metallic voice lowers to a hiss. "You shall speak with respect. Or do you wish to taste my powers once more?"

 

[Knight Otu]

Reluctuantly, the abomination bows before the flames, though it's eyes still show the hatred the creature feels as it answers.

"As you wish, Shou Ren. I cannot defeat you now. What service shall I perform for you, .... master?"

(You have won for now. But revenge will be mine, some day...) Ash'lon thinks to himself.

 

[Ciaran]

"The stars indicate that a young samurai of the Fox clan shall someday come to claim that which is rightfully mine. Seek out this samurai and slay him, then bring his corpse to me that he may serve me in death."

 

[Knight Otu]

"Very well. I will assault him, but considering the strange rules of this land, the corpse thing might get complicated."

Intended to give Shou Ren no chance to reply, Ash'lon immediately takes air to find the samurai.
