Aspect of Nature variant rules

I think it sounds really fun, But it is alot weaker then normal wild shape.

their are times were it can be very useful. It synergies with armor and magic weapons alot nicer then normal wildshape. alot of those effects though can be replaced with druid spells. Also the better aspects like earth and plant cant cast spells. its unclear if you need natural spell or if its not an option.

The next druid i might play is going to be one of these. I bet you have already taken a look at though.

One of the PCs in my Eberron game (see sig) has been using it for a while now. It works quite well for us. As Moon-Lancer mentioned, while it is slightly weaker than wildshape, it is actually a lot better for a character who prefers to use weapons and armor.

You can take advantage of the fact that the variant druid offers shape shifting at level 1 by entering the Warshaper prestige class without 5 full Druid levels. You'll still need at least 5 levels, though, to meet the BAB +4 prerequisite. This interesting idea is most useful for the "Combat Monkey" style of druid, taking levels of combat-oriented classes instead of levels of druid. Druid 1/ Fighter 2/ Barbarian 2/ Warshaper 4/ etc...
