Aspect of the Deity a Polymorph?

I have a cleric who wears a chain shirt. Now, it occurs to me that if he casts 'Greater Aspect of the Deity', he'll get wings. Unfortunately, the chain shirt (it is magical) isn't modified for sprouting wings. In that case, would you consider it to work like the Polymorph spells, in that the chain shirt will meld into the new form and be nonfunctional, would the spell simply not work, or would there be a loud snapping of bones, spraying of blood, and a slew of holy cussing?

The armor will resize itself to fit a new wearer, but will it reshape itself to fit a new creature?

I see these as two differnt things.

I'd say that in this instance, given the very short duration of the spell, it would not be unbalancing to allow the cleric to keep his armor on. I'd wager this is just something that didn't occur to the author of the spell.

Thanks all. Jeremy, that does sound like a good idea. Fortunately, the issue never came up last night in our session. Confounded Greater Dispels kept knocking off my buffs! *grumbles in irritation*
