Assassin's Death Attack

What type of effect is the Assassin's Death Attack ability? Extrodinary, Supernatural, or Spell-like? I can't seem to find any mention of it, but I don't have the 3.5 DMG yet so maybe it's in there.

And also, do things which protect against death magic protect against it?

There is no effect type listed.

I'd say no on the second question as it's not a magical effect. It's more or less like an uber Sneak Attack.

I know that. But it is somewhat important to know whether it is Extrodinary or Supernatural (for antimagic and such). I guess I'll just have to assume that it's extrodinary.

I apologize, I should have said "There is no effect type listed in the 3.5 DMG."

I assumed you didn't know that, since that's what you said in your original post.

It's not Ex, Sp or Su; similar to a rogue's Sneak Attack. It's "none of the above" :)

I recall from 3.0 that it was considered a death effect such that resistance/immunity applied as might be issued from spells and the like.

No, I believe the opposite is true in 3.0.

I just checked the DMG (3.0). There is nothing in the description to indicate one way or the other which would mean by default, Collins is right - sorry don't know what I was smoking.
