I'm seeing a hilarious scene where someone farts, tries to pin it on someone else, and then gets told, "You do realize we're in suits, right? There's only one way you could smell it..."
It wouldn't work for my game...not at present, anyway...but I could see some silly, zany astral pirate adventures.
Hmmm...there is one aspect that could make that work...perhaps...
Well I'll be damned. Maybe this thing has inspired adventure, through the most roundabout and accidental means possible, but still.

What's the D&D history with Chwingas? They've popped up in a few adventures, ToA and RotFM. They seem to pop up when the black obelisk are featured.

As far as I can tell, they have no D&D history prior to Tomb of Annihilation. Chwingas have appeared there, in Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden, Candlekeep Mysteries, The Tortle Package, and a bunch of the Plague of Ancients adventurers from the Adventurers League.
