Do you have an illustration you can send me too so I can make some suggestions? I do not have any of the psionics stuff so I haven't a clue. However, give me a pic and I'll bet I'll have some ideas on minis for you.

Astral constructs are increadably varied with appearance set by creator based on abillities selected and the craft check of the Esper. Random critters made from clear resin or painted miniatures made to look like monocromatic ectoplasm would be the best choice.

Since astral constructs can vary, the minis would too.

You could find some wierd minis (like some old tyranids from bygone GW WH40k sets or some confrontation minis) and sort of paint them white and blue and glue on wisps of cotton to represent the "extoplasm."

I use tyranids and genestealers from Warhammer 40K. They come in a variety of sizes and styles, and with some easy white paint and some inking, they look great. You can see some at www.gamesworkshop.com.

I use the Abyssal Maw minis from the Dragoneye expansion for the D&D minis. They're colored an off-white, purplish "astral" goo color, and they look really strange anyways. Besides, I'll never use them as Abyssal Maws!
