Atlas' Name That Critter Contest

Oy,

I just noticed the errata stating the monster description needs to be for a 5x15 ft. critter, yet I do not see any amendments to the .rtf file describing the contest that this is in fact a truth.

Is it so? I'll need to resend my entry, for sure. Hell, I'll have to change the whole thing. And quickly.

I would also suggest to Morrus and other moderators for an additional Forum, "Contests" for example, to keep this sort of info in one spot, so we don't have to hunt through the d20 publishers forum for info on a specific company's contest. Just a thought. Maybe somebody else has already had it, and The Powers That Be said 'No!"

It'd be a good place to stick the extraordinarily long threads on the WotC thing, too:)

Anyway, thanks,

Name That Critter

Hi there. Yep, it is indeed supposed to be 5 feet by 15 feet. Looks like the update didn't get posted yet. Here's what the first section of the rules should look like:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
In Brief

The "Name That Critter Contest" is hosted by EN World on behalf of Atlas Games. Contestants are asked to send in a creature name, description, and D20 stats that fit the pictured miniature designed by Lance & Laser Models and painted by artist Chris Smith. Note that the color scheme of the painted figure is for display only; contestants may specify different colors in their submissions at their discretion. <<The miniature is on a 1 inch by 3 inch base, so the creature should be 5 feet by 15 feet.>>

Descriptions will be displayed on EN World, and the one that is voted best by EN World visitors will be given a copy of the miniature, have his or her description published in the Penumbra Fantasy Bestiary, and receive a copy of the Bestiary upon publication. His or her name will also be publicized on the Atlas Games and EN World web sites. Second and third place winners will receive copies of the miniature courtesy of Lance & Laser Models.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry for the confusion, and good luck!

I have a question. The latest contest about the Legendary Classes requires a very specific email subject line, for Morrus's filter, but I don't know if the Name That Critter has such a specific requirement. Does it?
Thanks.

Nope. The FFG header requirement was actually prompted by the results of a lack of header requirement for this contest! :)

Ahh, well that makes sense then. Who looked over the entries to see which ones actually followed the guidelines? I sent in two, but only one made it for voting, and I would've sworn that both followed the guidelines. So I'm curious to know what I messed up on.

The good folks here at ENWorld screened them and are managing the contest. I'm looking forward to reading the entries and joining in on voting here!
