Attacked While Donning Armor

Hello everyone,

What happens if you're interrupted (attacked) while in the middle of donning armor? Specifically, trying to "don hastily"?

Does it count as if you're wearing no armor?

Does the DM have to sort of adjudicate it on a case-by-case basis, and give you a certain number of AC points?

Has anyone had this situation happen in a game?

Hi!

Nothing official: You could count the rounds passed donning the armor hastily. If the wearer has more round donned than not, probably she could be treated as ready; or give her an extra -1 penalty on AC.

Kind regards

I'd say give him full armor bonus to ac if he wants it, but he gets no dex bonus and is entangled as the spell, and cannot move more than 5' per round until he finishes donning his armor, then sit back and watch the fun.

He's not got the armour on yet, and it takes a free action to drop it.

Or you could make it a move or standard or full-round action.

Either way - no penalties except that the armour isn't on yet.

Well, the point of "Don Hastily" is that's how long it takes you to put on enough armor to get even the reduced benefit. Anything less than that, you have no Armor bonus to AC from the armor.
