Hi guys! Welcome back. No, this isn't one of those threads where I disappear, don't worry. I'm writing this because I would like to have our threads saved via searching Google's cache, but I am totally hosed by assignments right now, and I can't possibly do the job myself. But we need to do it quickly before it is too late and Google loses the pages from the cahce. So, I am requesting help: Please help recover the games for me! If you help out, I'll offer you some bonus XP for being there in a time of need.

Including LEW games? Wouldn't it be easier to just pick up where we left off?

I think this is the first third of Immortality Awakens Part II
EDIT: It went back farther than we needed it too, so I took out a big chunk of it.

I know that, but Tandi is not a stand around and wait type of girl either...*smile*

Slowly getting frustrated with not being able to climb up the sheer wall, Tandi looks to see if there is a place a looped rope could find purchase higher up the wall.

(OOC: No worries  )

*Tandi's Darkvision does not extend to the top of the cavern, and the wall is rather sheer, so she can't really see any places to attach a rope up there.*

"Donna look like there's a easy way up there," Thurgan mused quietly, "If'n ya donna mind noise, I got a hammer and stuff . . . kinda defeat the purpose tho . . . looks like only one way in then . . . back past the 'shrooms."

Releasing a heavy sigh, Tandi reluctantly nods her head in agreement with the dwarf. "Yeah, I'm starting to figure as much."

"Agreed, though I don't like it either. Anyone able to silence the shrooms?"

"Agreed, though I don't like it either. Anyone able to silence the shrooms?"

"Priests, most likely," Thurgan commented quietly, "Othwise, I'm guessin' we jus' muddle through."

(OOC: Scun doesn't have Silence I think, but on that note, Anton makes another Knowledge: Nature check--He thinks he remembers hearing that the Shriekers, since as mushrooms they have no eyes or such, detect motion via tracking the emanations of heat from living creatures, and they detect light via photoreceptors.)

(ooc: back from vacation, and correct, Scun doesn't have silence. Maybe with that new info we could toss a lit torch near the shriekers to set them off.)

(OOC: I would not suggest that for several reasons, although one of them has to do with the Nightdrops, so you guys probably don't know it :])

(ooc: maybe a create water over the fungi would help reduce the spores effectiveness? Or maybe a lit torch and then douse it with the create water to put out the light)

(OOC: Thinking about it, you think that if you had plenty of water, it might help reduce the spores' spread if you applied it from very close, but unless the water was so cold as to numb the shriekers' detection of warmth, it wouldn't keep the approach quiet)

"Let's decide, already, dagnabbit," Thurgan urged. "The longer we talk the more'n the criiter will be round . . . course I think he already knows we're here."

Thurgan glanced about the chamber, keeping an eye on Krug and looking for danger.

"It seems," Tandi speaks in agreement with the dwarf's statement, "that no matter our course, we will be given away by these strange mushrooms. I think mayhaps we should use that to our advantage. Summoning the beast when we are ready for it."

(OOC: Okay, time for me to help :) Is anyone going to try to either boost another character up to see if there is another exit to the moss room and/or think of something cold enough to numb the shriekers?)[/sblock]

Here's Kiss of Darkness page 14 and what follows after it from my log (I don't think too much is missing from my log, but it doesn't have stuff if Baeleth certainly wasn't there). I also have pages 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, and 9 if you want me to post them.

Edit: Added the additional pages mentioned above.
