Attention! new Campaign Setting open playtesting

If you're worried about your IP, why not get some NDAs for playtesters to sign?
That is the one of the purposes of the form I have on my website. However, without the financial and legal support that the big companies have, it is still a very real possibility. Once it is posted, I will have legal capability to go after the person who posted it. However, that does not stop the spread of unpublished information.

"As far as character classes for lycanthropes, there is already a dragon magazine with monster classes for them. The same is true of Libris Mortis for undead, though I plan to build on both."

Don't do that. Libris Mortis is certainly not Open Content, and it's very likely the Dragon article is not Open, either.

If you're wanting to avoid legal issues, be completely sure that you are only referencing Open Content.

I'm not copying anything from either source. I'm simply using the concept of a monster class. If I can't use that concept, then how could any 3rd party groups create any prestige classes based on the concepts in books published by Wizards of the coast? For instance, I've created a monster class for a were-panther. The closest there is to that in anything I've found is a were-tiger, which is a different race/class.

From what I've read, the layouts and concepts are designed to be built off of. While I cannot (and have no intention of) copy the actual material without express written consent of the publisher, I can build off of their concepts and create other classes, be they monster classes, prestige classes or otherwise. There is nothing in the OGL for 3.5 that prevents this. I am in contact with Wizards of the Coast, however, to ensure that I don't violate any portion of their OGL, just in case.

Overviews of the 5 continents of the Realms of Twilight world have been added to the site forum. Please stop by and have a look. For those interested, open play testing of various parts of the world is still available via the main website (Realms of Twilight).

Thanks
