First impression: love those mirmir "characters". Especially the fiends *chuckle*.

The only problem I had with this chapter was that Vecna's stay in Sigil is now treated as ... well ... "semi-canonical" (i.e. not quite the way it happened in the module, but also not completely ignoring DVD either) ? While I liked the way you handled it, story-wise, I'd still have been happier if you'd just have ignored that module.

Oh, and props for giving Ely Cromlich the attention he deserves *cheers*

That was me digging into my big 'ol bag of amusing fiend NPCs. Eventually in the future of my storyhour you'll see those two again numerous times.

I call it making the best out of a wretched situation. It's hard to ignore a module entirely because you'll still end up arguing with folks flailing their arms and going 'lol the LoP was pwnd by Vecna! Lol! ROFL! Hurr hurr.' And you're less likely to get that if you say that yes the events did happen, but here's what was really going on as far as anyone in the multiverse is concerned. Twist the events subtly and make them work for you. It was a compromise to make two camps happy, and I'd like to think that we did a pretty good job on it. I had a small part in writing that section, a few paragraphs snuck in there in the editing process.

If I owned the Planescape license I'd retcon DVD into oblivion, but I don't, and I have neither the money to own it, nor is it for sale.

I was happy to see that too. I've not had much chance to use Ely myself, being that I killed him off IMC, but he was always a cool character. It'd be fun to explore his mindset after being raised by Vecna and then falling back in with the more actively destructive Doomguard splinter sects. Tanar'ri blooded folks are fun like that.

In any event, chapter 8 is up for release next. Hopefully this time we'll see if I can get involved with a larger chunk of it than the last chapter.
