[Attn: Writers who wanna write for Eberron] Plot workshopping?

Well, it's probably posted elsewhere already, but since the board moves so fast and I don't have the ability to search, I thought I'd post this here:

WotC announced a winner for the Eberron Open Call: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=books/eb/wartornselection

While it's a bit sad that I didn't win, I am very excited about the upcoming novel, as the author wrote the awesome Warhammer RPG adventures Shadows over Bögenhafen and Death on the Reik. The Eberron novel has got to be great then!

You know, this illustrates the most frustrating part of writing: breaking into the business. What I think is a great piece of circular logic is this - places that want you to have an agent before they'll consider you while agents want you to have a publisher before they'll consider representing you.

Which, of course, leaves us aspiring but otherwise unpublished souls praying for the patron saint of slush piles to pull us out of one on a fluke.

Nevertheless, congrats to the winner.

WoTC open Call

Is there a thread like this one for the WoTC open call? I have never seen one in the General Topics but thought there had to be one somewhere in the boards. If anyone could point me in that direction, I would be very appreciative.
